Hours of Operation are Monday through Friday 8am to 8pm effective 10/7/24!
We are extremely proud that our hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association, a third-party non-profit organization which rigorously reviews hospitals who volunteer themselves to be scrutinized on all manner of criteria, including surgical care. With this accreditation, you know that your pet will be provided a clean facility, robust anesthesia monitoring, and a team that will stay with your pet from start to finish, no matter what.
Happy Tails Veterinary Hospital believes strongly in the need to spay and neuter cats, dogs, and rabbits to avoid adulthood health complications and contributing to overpopulation of animals in our community. We can guarantee that this crucial service is available to you.
For our puppies and kittens, we provide spay and neuter Wellness Plan Add-Ons to help cover the costs assocaited with these procedures.
"Oh no! Where did that red ball go?" This is a common moment for pet parents, and one we've seen many times before. When the radiographs reveal that Fluffy swallowed that rubber ball, that's when we step in. When your pet has swallowed a toy, a chunk of fabric, a diaper, or any other object we can remove that object and repair the damage done to the internal organs from the obstruction.
Just like humans, animals can get growths, tumors, moles, and skin tags, which can bring about further complications for that animal. Either via fine needle aspirate or punch biopsy, where we remove a small piece or the entire growth, our doctors will remove the tissue to submit to IDEXX Laboratories for screening. Based on their findings, we will then create a treatment plan to address the mass.
Happy Tails Veterinary Hospital has the capability to remove various body parts including legs, tails, and eyes. Sometimes the very presence of a broken limb or heavily damaged eyeball poses a greater threat to the pet's health, in which case we are able to remove the limb or eyeball. This procedure can improve the survivabilty of animals after traumatic events.
Cryotherapy, also known as cryosurgery, is the process by which a veterinarian uses a specific tool to freeze a section of abnormal or diseased tissue. This removes the section of tissue and prevents further spread of disease in the pet. This process also numbs surrounding tissue, which assists in pain management.
The term "mass removal" is ultimately a very broad term for any growth or lesion which is undesired or not supposed to be present. This can be cancerous tumors, abscesses, lipomas, and more. Our doctors are able to remove masses of varying sizes from outside or inside the body.
Among one of the more complicated surgeries we provide, sometimes there is evidence that your pet has ingested a foreign body but radiographs and ultrasounds are inconclusive. Our doctors are then able to perform an "exploratory surgery" where the veterinarian searches the stomach and intestines.
